Bintulu

Once a quiet fishing and farming village, Bintulu is now a rapidly developing oil town, though it still retains such traditional attractions as local markets and a Chinese temple. Most interesting are the sights just beyond the city, including important archaeological sites, a delightful nature reserve, and well-preserved stilted longhouses.
