Capitol Hill and Northeast

The people who live and work on "the Hill" do so in the shadow of the edifice that lends the neighborhood its name: the gleaming white U.S. Capitol.
But beyond the area's grand buildings lies a vibrant and diverse group of neighborhoods with charming residential blocks lined with Victorian row houses and a fine assortment of restaurants, shops, and bars, where senators, members of Congress, and lobbyists come to unwind or to continue their deal making. This area includes the Eastern Market, the Atlas District (also known as the H Street corridor), Union Station, and Union Market.
