Paid parkin to be trialed at NZ's most popular tourist spots

Paid parking is to be trialed at NZ's three most popular tourist spots, Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, Franz Josef Glacier, and Aoraki Mount Cook National Park's White Horse Hill parking lot, to help ease visitor pressures and support conservation.

Every time I see this post I think of cake. Did others know parkin is a cake? Gingerbread flavour I think and from maybe Yorkshire? I love hearing about the old, traditional baking in other parts of the world.

Sorry to change the subject so completely, Diamantina
