Dear Oldemalloy
This is the only way I found to contact you. I hope it's OK.
Some weeks ago I posted on a forum that we were going to do a road trip in the South West of the US. We were going to commence this trip in November. You sent a message to me with concerns re the weather at that time and we may encounter snow storms. As a result of your post, we brought the trip forward by 2 weeks. Towards the end of our trip, I saw the news re the weather. AND there was indeed a snow storm out of Albuquerque - right where we were 10 days prior - and the roads closed for 2 days!!! That could have been us!!!!! Thank you!!! Jane

Jane,
I am so happy you did not get stuck in the snow. It is nice when it works out that way. We always hope for the best weather, but it is always good to have a plan B, even if it means changing the dates. Many folks think of the desert heat when they hear about New Mexico and Arizona, but they have areas that are at much higher elevation that tend to have very different weather conditions.
Did the trip live up to your expectations?

YES!!
Far more beautiful than we imagined. We aimed to stay off the major freeways - and it didn't matter how far out of our way - and it was beautiful! You're right - in New Mexico we found outselves up in the moutains - with a little snow on the ground.
We had blue skies everyday - with termperatures around 70. There is so much beauty in the US..
Thank you again,
Jane
