PHL Connection
It’s been awhile since I needed to ask flight advice, but now I do, so here goes:
July 5, 2025: RSW TO ATH—looking at a PHL connection on AA (domestic to international) mid-afternoon.
Is a connecting time of 1 hr 55 minutes a bad (too risky) idea?
Other option is connecting in CLT, with MUCH more breathing room between flights. I’m starting to think I know the answer, but will gratefully consider all comments.
Thanks !

1hr 55mins plenty of time - with time to spare. International departures are no more complicated than domestic.

Thank you.
I was mostly concerned about the size of the airport and possibly needing to cover a lot of ground between gates. The PHL-ATH flight doesn’t exist currently, so I wasn’t sure about its terminal.
Thanks again for the helpful reply.

If your flight into PHL is anywhere near on time you should be fine. Plus you will be protected -- since PHL is an AA hub, if you are delayed they should have lots of options to get you to Athens even if you have to connect somewhere else.
