Michelle Couch-Friedman is an experienced consumer advocate, reporter, writer, mediator, and licensed psychotherapist. She is the founder and CEO of ConsumerRescue.org, an organization dedicated to protecting and directly defending consumers. Michelle is also the on-call ombudsman columnist for The Points Guy, where she helps troubled travelers navigate and avoid problems. Previously, she served as the executive director of Elliott Advocacy, where she resolved thousands of consumer problems during her six-year tenure managing that organization. Her guidance and advice have been cited in notable outlets such as Travel + Leisure, MarketWatch, National Geographic, CNN, The Boston Globe, MSN, CNBC, and The Wall Street Journal. Michelle is also a public speaker, frequently appearing on television to discuss consumer-related issues, and is a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.
