I have been to London more times than I can count and have stayed in all sorts of places. Actually will be arriving in London again this Thursday. I agree that $250 a night is not a lot for London....

We did not take our children abroad at that age but agree with Crellston that Buenos Aires does not strike me as someplace especially suited for young children. Have not been to Montevideo.

Agree totally that the best things we have done in Norway were the scenic drives. I would skip Oslo, not that it's not a worthwhile place to visit, but I would rather spend the time to drive around...
